A 2004 renovation, made possible by a solid alumni corps, lifted AGR to new heights at K-State. Implemented seven years later, phase 2 – a $1.2 million campaign – strengthened the chapter’s long-term viability by eliminating a $660,000 mortgage. As chapter house owners, it saved alumni $325,000 in interest charges over the next 14 years. It also allowed leadership to reallocate up to 56% of the operating budget to fraternity building activities, make additional improvements, and fund scholarships. Twenty-two percent of brothers participated in the campaign, which exceeded the goal by $20,000. Over $100,000 in new scholarships were created to honor specific brothers and friends.
