The Deane Center for the Performing Arts began with a dream and a $1 million legacy gift from Harold and Ivah Deane, for whom the center is named. Their vision for a home for the arts in Tioga County has already enriched the lives of countless people, young and old from the community and those travelling to the scenic locale of Wellsboro, PA. As a result of a nearly $4 million effort, an aging furniture store and warehouse space were transformed into rehearsal and performance studios for music, dance and art as well as community meeting and retail space. The black box and warehouse theatre are home to locally produced performances and more!
